West Tisbury does permit Open Burning but you must get a permit from the Fire Chief.  Permits are issued for Day of Burning only.  January 15,2023 – May 1st

Before you can Burn for the first time Applicants must first register online with the fire chief.

If you do not wish to do this online, you may call the Fire Chief’s office at 508-693-9555 or pick up paper copies of the permit applications outside his office door in the lobby of the Public Safety Building on State Road.  Paper applications and payments should also be returned to the Fire Chief’s office.
